Most do find that gross, I find it cool. I was able to capture a very cool macro of a spider once... check him out here.

re: your comment. Yes, it was close... but it had made a web under the back porch flood light and was right there close by... at the time I had my Canon Digital SLR and zoomed right up on him for the photo. Turned out fantstic... but a bit freaky, for sure! =)

I generally think mother nature and her works are quite beautiful, but I do agree this is gross. Amazing, but gross. Happy weekend.

Eeek! You made me jump!

How did you have the nerve to stand there and photograph it?

I've posted a bug too.

I generally think spiders are gross, or more specifically their webs are when you accidentally walk into them and that sticky feeling all over as you try and get them off. Think of the poor flies and other small insects. But, this is a gorgeous picture, better than I have ever gotten... perhaps the type of spider is just more photogenic. Lovely picture.

Closeups of insects are fascinating to me. Great shot.

Mine's up too.

Oooooo! What a GREAT photo! I'm not sure I think it's "gross" ... to ME it's more "scary"... and NEAT! I actually am fascinated by spiders -- as long as they stay OUTdoors where they belong! Well... the ones that look like THAT anyway! There are a few little ones I allow to stay around the house -- just to eat flies and such... ;)

Great shot! Of course, if I saw something like that crawling on my bathroom wall, I'd have a totally different reaction altogether!

Ah! The animal kingdom can be so cruel...and gross!

Your gross can eat my gross then someone would have to find a bird to eat your gross and the cycle goes on!!

Thanks for visiting and grossing out on my fly! Have a super Saturday!

I hate spiders! And that one is absolute huge! I've got my first SPH up. Check it out!

I don't know why but I do find spiders to be particularly gross though I do like their webs. This is a great picture though it does make my skin crawl a bit!
