This is our NEW beautiful granddaughter, Kelsey. She arrived Friday, December 22 and has made us all very happy. She's a good baby too.

Little late posting. We've had a new arrival~our first biological granddaughter arrived Dec. 22 @ 3:20 a.m., so I've been busy.

This is what I thought of when I read the theme ~ power lines! It seems I always have to change positions to take a picture because they are in the way~but I'm glad we have them too.

In case you haven't been able to tell, my favorite color is RED! So I'm posting a couple of "red" pictures. The first one is one of the red walls in our living room, and the second one is my favorite red sweater. What you see is an archway from our living room into our dining room. Under the houses is a cross-cut saw that my sister-in-law painted with a winter snow scene. And my favorite red sweater!

Not quite wordless...Out in the country where we live, occasionally young people will "ride the roads" and smash mail boxes with baseball bats. This ingenious person seems to have found a unique way to prevent this from happening!

When I took the top picture, I was not participating in SPH! Several weeks ago when I joined and saw the theme for today, I knew what I had to do....

This is our oldest daughter expecting her first daughter in December(!) with her step daughter who will be a year in January!!! Wheeeeeeee........if you know what I mean.

Last Saturday, the topic of the Scavenger Photo Hunt was Windows. I wasn't able to post my pictures but I think they are good and want to share them with you. I have a special friend and neighbor who got be started on blogging. She introduced me, through blogging, to Flip Flop Floozie another friend of hers that lives in Georgia. Thursday Floozie, Daisy and I got together to show off our beautiful Valley. We had a great time. Meeting blogging buddies is the greatest! On Friday, we drove up to Winchester and met Melli from Insanity Prevails. What a wonderful experience. Bloggers are GREAT people! These are my Windows pictures and fellow bloggers...

Fall ~ Beautiful!

This is without a doubt, my favorite time of year. Although the leaves have just begun to turn around here, I'm looking forward to taking pictures of them. Many of you have seen my Misty Morn photo below and I continue to take more pictures like it. That's what the mornings are like in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. This is another one!
